The odd thing about yesterday was that I had to walk in and out a bit to cover the river walkway. One is the view across the river to Surrey Quays, two is a view of the slipway at low tide looking across the river, three is a part of the lock mechanism and four is looking across the river towards Greenland Dock with the Shard and the City in the distance. And the most striking things about the slipway are the open space, with views to Greenland Pier on the other side of the river, and a chunky and intriguing piece of preserved machinery which I’ve since found out is the mechanism for the old lock gate. However, I am now thinking of brining her a little closer to home (Kingston, South West London) for the summer and am considering the opportunities for keeping her on her trailer in a location close to a. ![]() The most striking thing about this area is Millwall Slipway which once joined the docks to the river but is now closed off by a road. Many River Thames lock sites have additional facilities such as toilets, drinking water or waste disposal points. Hi I have an 18 sailfish which for the last fifteen years I have kept on the South Coast. The second was later in the day at dusk to an area on the river close to Millwall Dock (see the attached map).
